He was preceded in death by his brother Donald and survived by his sister Julia Stillwell.
After putting in a couple of years working in the oil fields, he joined the U.S. Navy, and proudly made it his career for the next 20 years where he saw the world.
In 1985 he fell in love and married Maria, his wife of 30 years. From this marriage he is survived by his son Thomas; stepsons Shane and Christian Griffin and five grandchildren. From his previous marriage he is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth, Doris, Thelma and Patricia; two sons, Robert and Ronald; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to SmileTrain.org to help children receive treatment to correct cleft pallet.

Julia Ann Stilwell, age 78, of Houston, Texas, died peacefully at her home on February 6, 2018.
Visitation will be on February 13, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home, Cypress Creek, located at 9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095. Funeral services will be held at the same location on February 14th at 1:00 PM. Chaplain David Roberts of Texas Home Health Hospice will be officiating. Burial services will follow at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery at 14711 Cypress N. Houston Road, Cypress, Texas, 77429.
Julia A. Stilwell was born in Pratt, Kansas to Wilbert Houston Brehm and Julia Fern DaVault on December 14, 1939. She went to school at Pratt High School as a proud “Greenback”. She married William Wayne Hoffman in April 1957, and they had 3 wonderful daughters, Chris, Debbie, and Kim. She was then divorced in June 1969. Julia remarried on April 7, 1978 to the love of her life, Donald Willard Stilwell, Jr. She worked at CECO Steel Corporation in Fairfax, Kansas for a number of years. It was through CECO that she met Donald, affectionately known as “Donnie”. She was involved with Women in Construction, and later on in her life, she was very involved with her church and their Pastoral Care Ministry.
Family was her passion though, along with her home, flower gardening, and traveling to many places with Donnie.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband Donald on May 10, 2011, after his own battle with cancer.
Julia is survived by her 3 daughters Christina Marie Scott of Belton, Missouri, Debra Ann Fleming of Brenham, Texas, Kimberly Sue Hoffman of Houston, Texas and by her 2 step-daughters Sandy Clarke of Haslemere, England and Marcia Haliczka of Chicago, Illinois. In addition, she had 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and her 2 beloved cats: Molly and Kitty.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Scott, Ken Fleming, Kenny Fleming, Ian Scott, Jeffrey Scott, and David Wahlquist.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The family of Julia A. Stilwell wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Texas Home Health Hospice and Home Care as wells as the wonderful caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care.

Donald Mike Brehm, 69, of Lubbock, formerly of Abilene, entered eternal peace surrounded by family on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born in Pratt, Kansas on March 25, 1949 to the late Donald Lavern and Ollie Rae (Williams) Brehm. Donald graduated from Youngsville High School in Pennsylvania. In 1970 Donald married his first wife, Nancy Narlee, who preceded him in death in 2009. He spent numerous years working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Kansas and Texas. On August 28, 2010 he married Donna Carson, in Geneseo, Kansas, and the began their lives together, later moving to Lubbock in 2012. He was a loving, kind, wonderful man, who was loved by many. His sense of humor, integrity, loyalty, character, kindness, and generosity will truly be missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Donna; daughters, Amy Kippernes of Norway, Elizabeth Graham (Cory) of Clyde, TX, Jenna Eshleman (Stuart) of Salina, KS, Jamie Penquite-Green (Christopher) of England; sister, Brenda Brehm-Brown (Paul) of Preston, KS; eight grandchildren, one who preceded him in death; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at The Brehm Residence.
