DR. CHARLES E. BEASLEY JR.
Charles E. "Doc" Beasley, Jr., 72, 528 W. Market St., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Dr. Beasley was a Johnson City native and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a son of the late Charles E. Beasley Sr. and Wanda Powers Beasley.
Dr. Beasley was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and retired from the Tennessee National Guard's 777th Maintenance Unit.
He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, where he received his batchelor's degree and master's degree; and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received his doctor of education.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Beasley was preceded in death by one brother.
Survivors include two sons, Mark E. Beasley, Johnson City, and Glen A. Beasley, Hanahan, S.C.; one daughter, Jennifer Mazzei, Kingsport; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services for Dr. Charles E. "Doc" Beasley Jr., 528 W. Market St., Johnson City, who died Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Monte Vista Burial Park mausoleum Chapel. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. The Rev. Pem Cooley will officiate. Survivors include two sons, Mark E. Beasley, Johnson City, and Glen A. Beasley, Hanahan, S. C.; one daughter, Jennifer Mazzei, Kingsport; four grandchildren; and his former wife, Bernice Beasley, Johnson City. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Army National Guard, 251 Don May Drive, Gray, TN 37615. Arrangements by Morris-Baker, 2001 Oakland Ave., Johnson City.
