OBITUARY

Deaths
Mrs. Lou Helen Curtis, 66, widow of William T. Curtis, died at 2:25 a.m. yesterday of the home of a daughter, Mrs. Terry Williams, Watauga, route 1, after a long illness.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Williams of Watauga, Mrs. Roy H. Jones of Johnson City, Mrs. James Roberts of Shelby, O., and Mrs. Conrad Warrington of Baltimore, Md.; three sons, Herbert of New York City, Roscoe of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, and Glenn of the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Phillipine Islands; four grandchildren, Helen Marie Brooks, Betty and Billy Williams and Ardis Lee Warrington.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. B. M. Canup and the Rev. Elmer Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in the Will Mottern Cemetery.
Active pallbearers: Eugene Hughes, How Mottern, Roy Mottern, Roe Warren, Charlie Mottern, Bill Clamon, Bob Larimer and Christy McKinney.
The body will remain at the Appalachian Funeral Home until 1 o'clock when it will be taken to the church.
