In 1871 they moved to a farm eleven miles from Pleasant Hill, Miller County, Missouri, which was their post office for nine years. In the spring of 1880 they moved to a farm five miles southwest of Sterling, Nebraska, directly north across the road from the Biesemeier farm. Here Charlotte and Frederick lived the rest of their lives. They placed great emphasis on the cultivation of personal religion; three of their children became ministers of the Gospel. He immigrated to Warrington, Missouri, in 1854.1
