Anita Ball - JONESBOROUGH
Mrs. Anita Louise "LuLu" Ball, age 52, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Ball was a native of Washington County and daughter of Kenneth Tester, Jonesborough and the late Helen B. Woodruff Tester. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ball was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pat Ball and a brother, Kenneth "Dockie" Tester. She attended Telford United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the VFW Post #9724 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Ball worked for Cerebral Palsy of East TN Inc., the Herald & Tribune and Washington County Detention Center before retiring. In addition to her father, survivors include two daughters, Lucy "Jaime" Tester, Kingsport and Kimberly Dawn Watson, Jonesborough; two brothers, Bill Tester, Jonesborough and John Henry "Butch" Banks, Johnson City; two nieces, Kim Dawson and Ginny Banks, both of Johnson City; one nephew, John David Banks, Johnson City; one aunt, Ann Clay, Jonesborough; special pets, Bessie, Regal & Stitch; and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Head officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Telford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be cousins Joe Clay, Steve Clay, Chris Clay and Calvin Clay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, c/o Jaime Tester, 911 Kendrick Creek Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663.
