DaughterMarlene T. Dye (b. 6 July 1947, d. 31 August 2014)

BASIC FACTS

Irene Bridgett Liddle was born on 30 January 1923 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.2 She and Orval Dean Dye were married on 16 September 1944 in Barton, England.3 She died on 25 May 1996, at age 73, in Santa Barbara Co., California.4 She was buried in Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Linn Co., Iowa.
Irene Bridgett Liddle had reference number 39497. She was enumerated on the census in Kansas (1953.)5

On her Social Security record her middle name is shown as "Marie." On her California Death Index record her middle name is shown as "Bridgett." I chose to go with "Bridgett" because her middle initial is shown as "B" on her grave marker.

Note from Don Boyd: After her divorce from Orval Dean Dye, Irene and the children relocated to Santa Barbara, California. Irene remarried to Harold C. Brown on 14 APR 1962 in Santa Barbara County. That marriage appears not to have lasted long, as Harold was listed in the 1965 Santa Maria city directory with no spouse. This was probably Harold Brown, 19 DEC 1922 - 9 OCT 1999, buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside County, California, Findagrave #421371, a U.S. Navy WW II veteran.
