SPRING GROVE Jeanette E. Miller, 77, of Spring Grove RD 5, died at 9:57 a.m. Sunday at York Hospital. She was the wife of Niles A. Miller, who died in 1989.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fifth and Hanover streets, Gettysburg. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Dubs) Cemetery, Hanover. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Heffner Funeral Home of York Inc., 1701 W. Market St., York.
Mrs. Miller was born on Aug. 11, 1916, in West Manheim Township. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Effie Amanda (Anderson) Resh.
She was a member of St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Mont., and had attended St. Jacob's (Stone) Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Timothy Allen Miller of Spring Grove RD 5; four daughters, Shirley A. Stiffler of Spring Grove RD 2, Betty Jane Sterner of Hanover RD 3, Gladys M. Wildasin of Brodbecks RD 1, and Dora Jean Kemper of Spring Grove RD 6; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Resh Jr. of York; and three sisters, Mildred Hafer of Glen Rock, and Dorothy Reynolds and Nadine Murphy, both of Hanover. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Alvin Miller.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Bill Mummert, pastor of Gettysburg Baptist Church, and the Rev. Richard C. Weaver, pastor of St. Jacob's (Stone) Lutheran Church.

Nadine B. Murphy, 77, passed peacefully Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Green Acres-Adams County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gettysburg. Born April 22, 1929, in New Oxford, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Effie A. (Anderson) Resh. Mrs. Murphy enjoyed going to and playing Bingo every night of the week. Surviving are four daughters, Nadine Grim, of Hanover, Betsy Wallace, of Salisbury, Md., Joy Treadway, of Spring Grove, and Melissa Ann Coleman, of Hanover; three sons, Clyde "Sonny" Markle, of Pennsylvania, Francis Markle, of Glenville, and Ralph LeRoy Murphy, Jr., of Dover; one sister, Dorothy Reynolds, of Hanover; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Janette Resh and Mildred Hafer; one brother, Howard Markle; and one granddaughter. The funeral service will be 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover, with the Rev. Carol R. Wantz officiating. Viewing will begin at 7 p.m. and will run until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. NEW OXFORD - Howard E. Resh, 67, of 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, formerly of 11 York St., Hanover, died Friday at the Brethren Home Community.
The service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. Viewing will be noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Resh was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Howard C. and Effie (Anderson) Resh.
He owned and operated Resh's Garage on Third Street in Hanover. He was a graduate of Hanover High School.
Mr. Resh is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Reynolds of Hanover and Nadine Murphy of Gettysburg.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Bruce P. Bouchard.
