Longtime dentist Ross H. Bradley dies
Dr. Ross H. Bradley, 90, of 229 Lockwood Place died Friday, Sept. 9, 1994, at his home.
He was born July 26, 1994, in Virden, the son of Fred J. and Nelle S. Hendrickson Bradley. He married Ruth Cleavelin on June 2, 1936, in St. Louis, Mo. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Dr. Robert F. (wife Yvonne) of Jacksonville; and one daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Pat) Wright of Lake San Marcos, Calif.; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ashley Wright.
Dr. Bradley was a June 1928 graduate of the Washington University School of Dentistry. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon social fraternity and the Zi Psi Phi Professional fraternity.

Jacksonville Dentist Marries Miss Ruth Cleavelin Of Champaign
Dr. Ross H. Bradley, well known Jacksonville dentist, was united in marriage Tuesday of this week with Miss Ruth Cleavelin of Champaign. The wedding ceremony was solemnized in St. Louis, Mo.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Illinois, graduating with the class of 1933. She has been teaching during the past year in the schools at Auburn, Ill.
Dr. Bradley is the son of Edward Bradley of Virden, and graduated from Washington University. Following his graduation from the university Dr. Bradley began the practice of dentistry in this city eight years ago.

Dr. James L. Bradley
Dr. James L. Bradley, 72, formerly of 2321 S. Glenwood Ave., died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Hospital.
Dr. Bradley was an oral surgeon in Springfield prior to his retirement. Born in Virden, Dr. Bradley was the son of Edward and Lula Liggett Bradley. He was a graduate of the Virden Community High School and Washington University and attended Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania. He retired U.S. Navy Commander, Dr. Bradley served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Illinois Dental Society, American Dental Association and the Ansar Temple.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. M. Michelle VanFossan of Webster Groves, Mo.; one son, Dr. E. Michael Bradley of Springfield and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bisch Memorial Home, with Rev. Atile Chiti officiating. Burial will be in Virden Cemetery.
Berry Funeral Home, Virden, is in charge of the arrangements.
