John Fitzgerald Ryan Sr., 79, passed away October 30, 2008, in Las Vegas, NV. He was born March 1, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to the parents of Bud and Bernice Ryan. Before retiring to Las Vegas, Jack lived in Orland Park, IL, with his late wife, Rosemary Ryan. Jack was previously married to Helen M. Ryan. They had 4 children together and raised them in Oak Lawn, IL. Daughter Patrica A. (Joseph) Orchowski, Nancy J. (Glenn) Watkins; and sons John F. Ryan Jr. and Michael P. (Wendy) Ryan; Jack also had 1 step-daughter Sara (Eric) Oppenheimer; Jack was a loving and proud grandfather of Rachel E. Watkins; and 1 step-grandchild Noah Oppenheimer; he recently became a great-grandfather to Layna Rae Petersen. Jack was probably the biggest Chicago White Sox fan the city ever had. When they won the World Series in 2005 he was quoted as saying, "He could die a happy man." Services were recently held in Las Vegas with a memorial to honor his life to be held in the Chicago Area at a later date.

Ralph and Marcella wound up their trip with a weekend in Kokomo, to participate in a family reunion, to be with relatives they had not seen for eight years.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph D. Snyder Sr., 85, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 150 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village. Interment will be private. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the time of procession to the church at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Born Feb. 23, 1923, in Indiana, he passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Elk Grove Village. Mr. Snyder served in the Army Air Corps.
Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Marcella; loving father of Ralph Jr. (Diana) Snyder and Ed (Sharon) Snyder; dear father-in-law of Linda Snyder; loving grandfather of Kimberly (Juan) Londono, Christopher Snyder, Nicole (David) Hain, Danielle Snyder and Jonathan Snyder; dear son of the late Ernest Eugene and Sarah Emmaline (nee Fudge) Snyder; and dear brother of Emagene Dutchess and Marjorie Lykins.
