BOONVILLE — Robert "Bob" L Hoover 70 passed away Monday April 30 2007 at Southwind Healthcare in Boonville where he has been a resident since Oct 22 2003. Bob was born Oct 26 1936 to George and Mary K (Shaw) Hoover in Amandaville Ky.
Before becoming ill Bob enjoyed working in his yard. He had a green thumb when it came to growing flowers or plants. He also did some woodworking.
Bob moved to Evansville in 1985 from Terre Haute. He had previously worked for APS and Prescotech in Evansville, Ind.
Bob is survived by his wife Polly (McCallister), whom he married on Dec 24 1988; his mother Mary Graves of Paducah, Ky.; brothers, Bill of Benton Ky. and Charles (Shirley) of Paducah Ky.; son, Dennis of Bowling Green, Ky.; granddaughter, Hilary and her husband, Merl Essing; great-grandson, Dustin, of Houghton, Michigan; step-grandson, Jeremy; and step-great-grandson, Kadon.
He is preceded in death by his father, George, and brothers, James and Russel.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 2 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Southwind Healthcare Residents Christmas party or Warrick County Humane Society or your church or favorite charity.
No funeral and no graveside services will be held. Condolences and any special remembrance may be made online at wwwkoehlerfuneralhome.com.
