When her youngest son, Evan, became ill with terminal brain cancer in 2010, she devoted herself to his care including spending the summer of 2010 in Colorado for specialized treatment for Evan. After Evan's passing in 2011, Rhonda devoted countless hours fundraising for various Pediatric Cancer causes, including the Jack Hoffman Foundation.

Rhonda lived for her boys. She loved seeing them succeed in school activities, sports and was a surrogate mom to most of their friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and loved family and friends and social outings with them. Rhonda loved the Rocky Mountains, hiking, Estes Park, Cheley Camps and traveling with her fiance, Jeff, who she loved unconditionally.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her son, Evan, and leaves behind her beloved sons, Spencer and Tyler Sharp, fiance, Jeff Howorth, parents Ron and Marj Joekel, brothers, Steven (Pam) and Corey (Nancy), nephews, David (Tiffany), Mark, William (Liz), and Benjamin, nieces, Erin (Jeremy) Stoll, Stephanie (Scott) Wenz, and five great nieces.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, 12 pm, at Christ Community Church, 404 S 108th Ave., Omaha. Memorial visitation: Tuesday, 10 am-12 pm at Christ Community Church. Private family interment of Rhonda's urn in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rhonda Sharp Memorial Fund. John A.
