Mrs. Joy Kitzmiller McCracken, age 81, 246 Forest View Dr. Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the John M. Reed Nursing Home.
Mrs. McCracken was a native of Washington County, TN and daughter of the late E.G. "Gene" & Lillie Jenkins Kitzmiller.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCracken was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Herbert McCracken Jr. and one sister, Lucille Keys.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two brothers, Niles Kitzmiller, Bristol and Howard Kitzmiller, Jonesborough; three sisters, Margaret Sizemore, Kingsport, Erma Hensley, Erwin and Laura Kitzmiller, Tallahassee, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2006 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with her brother, Niles Kitzmiller officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 pm Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Northeast Tennessee Chapter 207 N. Boone St., Suite 1050 Johnson City, Tennessee 37604.

Niles Edward Kitzmiller, age 79, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1936 in Jonesborough, Tenn., a son of the late Edward Eugene and Lillie Mae Jenkins Kitzmiller.
Niles was involved in several local organizations and was the former Pastor of Hulen Baptist Church in Erwin, Tenn., Brown Springs Baptist Church in Mosheim, Tenn., French Broad Baptist Church in Dandridge, Tenn. and River Bend Baptist Church in Bristol, Tenn. Niles was Interim Pastor for Woodlawn Baptist Church in Bristol, Tenn., Sunrise Baptist Church in Bluff City, Tenn., Beidleman Presbyterian Church in Bristol, Tenn. and Community Church in Bristol, Tenn.
Niles also held a number of bi-vocational jobs beginning in 1965 until his retirement in 1999.
In addition to his parents, Niles was preceded in death by his son, Edward Mark Kitzmiller, sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille Keys and husband John, Margaret Sizemore and husband Ballard, Joy McCracken and husband Clarence, Erma Hensley and husband Tom and Dorothy Pearl Kitzmiller, brother, Edward Howell Kitzmiller and sister-in-law, Shirley Range Kitzmiller.
Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Kitzmiller Walburn and husband Steven E. Walburn, of Madison, AL; two grandchildren, Summer Ashley King and husband Nathan, Tyler Edward Walburn and wife Kasey; four great grandchildren, Savannah Katherine King, Matthew Tyler King, Bailee Jo Walburn and Lilah Belle Walburn; brother, Howard Lee Kitzmiller, of Jonesborough, Tenn.; sister, Laura Juanita Kitzmiller, of Tallahassee, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Weaver Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Long, Rev. Arnold King and Rev. Vic Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Washington County Memorial Gardens in Johnson City, Tenn with Rev. Arnold King officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Nephews, and Brad Baker, Brad Williams, Gordon Bolton, David Cox, Roger Cox, Doug Cox, Roger Wilson, Charlie Hicks, staff of Weaver Funeral Home, Men of Community Church, Sunrise Baptist Church, River Bend Baptist Church and Beidleman Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Bristol Tennessee Camp, P.O. Box 2083, Bristol, TN 37621 or to Community Church, 6320 Old Jonesboro Rd, Bristol, TN 37620.
