Death's dark messenger has visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kinkeade, of near Oak Grove, three times in the last two weeks. The first call was for little Helena Mary. She was born Oct. 7, 1903, and departed this life Sunday, Feb. 17, 1907, aged three years, four months and ten days. Cause of death was double pneumonia. She was sick only three days, but suffered untold agony and was conscious until the end. She relaized, too, that she must die. But a short time before she died she told them all good-bye. She was buried at the Oak Forest cemetery, Feb. 19, 1907.
Death, the grave monster, visited their home again Feb. 24. This time it took the infant child, Sutkia Elvira, born Nov. 15, 1906, age three months and thirteen days. She was a delicate child from birth. She was laid by the side of her sister, Feb. 26.
The next call was for Olgia Irene. She was born Oct. 18, 1904, and departed this life Monday, March 4, 1907, aged two years, four months and seventeen days. She was laid to rest by the side of her sisters March 6. She was confined to her bed for two weeks, first having pneumonia, which ended in a severe sore throat, and she did not have vitality enough to overcome this disease. Dr. Spurgeon was called to see this little girl before she took down and did everything in his power to save her. He was assisted by Dr. Breuer of St. James. This is the last daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kinkeade. Olgia was an angel on earth, now she is an angel in heaven. Never was there a more patient child than she. The writer visited her almost every day during her sickness. She did not murmur nor complain and was always ready to take her medicine.
The parents and grandparents of these children have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad hour of trouble and breavement. Each of three funeral services was conducted at the family home and also at the Oak Forest church, by L. J. Rinehart.
