Charles "Chuck" Ruel Kuhlemeier was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Charles August and Carmen Sarah Davenport Kuhlemeier. He was the only one of their four children to survive infancy. He was named for his father and his maternal grandfather, Ruel Edward Davenport.
Growing up, Charles was the oldest of nine cousins who all adored him. His 7 female cousins measured every man against him. While he served in the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Strategic Air Command, they would turn the hero of every war picture into Charles Ruel.
On September 28, 1957, he married Wilma Grace Weber in Enid, Oklahoma. Together they had five children. Two of the children died in infancy.
The family settled in Lovington, New Mexico. Charles and Wilma lived in New Mexico until 2008. They then moved to Texas where he was living at the time of his death.
Charles had a great mind for meticulous detail which helped to make him a wonderful storyteller. He had a deep voice, a wonderful smile and ready laugh.
Charles Ruel Kuhlemeier died the Saturday before Easter, April 3, 2010, in Temple, Texas. A lifelong Presbyterian, his Service of Witness to the Resurrection was held at First Presbyterian Church in Temple, Texas, on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The cross on his tombstone is the cross from the Presbyterian Seal.

"Hi Don, Charles was our first cousin. He loved family history and had done a great deal of work on Wilma's family. He would talk for hours about family. He and Wilma were two of the nicest people to walk the face of the earth. He was born at 9:22 a.m. at University Hospital, Ann Arbor but was baptized in Detroit where his maternal grandparents were living. His maternal grandmother was a strong Lutheran. Most if not all of her grandchildren were baptized in the Lutheran church. Charles later became just as strong a Presbyterian. As far as his military records, he served in the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Strategic Air Command. Charles was brilliant. He had a mind that retained and organized every detail. I cannot tell if he is working there or is an inmate. He lists Oliver Whetstone as his next-of-kin (a cousin). This is probably Oliver Edward Whitstone (1914 - 1978). No connection between Oliver and Kenneth has been established. Kenneth give his permanant address as Fairview, Major County, Oklahoma.

ENID, OK — Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Jeanette "Jenny" Buchanan Ekstrom, 67, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jenny was born Sept. 28, 1946, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Kenneth and Glenna Wampler Buchanan and died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, in Enid.
She was employed for many years as an X-ray technician. After returning to Enid, she helped her father run the families restaurant, Tia Juana.
Jenny was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She will be remembered as a person who put others first, always wanting to serve.
Survivors include her father, Kenneth; sister, Barbara Marshall of Enid; sister-in-law, Judy Buchanan of Enid; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lyle Guy Battin, her mother and a brother, Glen Buchanan.

LEVERICH Floreta Mae, age 79, of OKC, died Sept. 20, 1994 at home after a lengthy illness. She was a Charter Member of the Brookline Baptist Church and had been a resident of the OKC area most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Leverich in 1974. She is survived by her children, Henry "Hank" Leverich, Barbara Jackson, Shirley A. Haese, Robert Haese, Ernest J. Leverich and Reda Leverich; grandchildren, Larry Leverich, Laura Leverich, Steve Leverich, Connie Leverich, Annette Edwards, David Edwards, Sharyl Leverich, Joe Haese, Darla Haese, Kelley Leverich Stevens, Roger Stevens, David Haese, Kerri Haese, Michelle Hammons, Kenny Hammons, Dawn Leverich, fiance, William Smith, Karon Pershica, Tim Pershica, Anglia Haese; great grandchildren, Michael Leverich, Chris and Alicia Edwards, A.J., Kim and Jenny Haese, Teresa, Katie and Amanda Haese, Brandi Hammons, Clint Pershica; special friend, Dwayne Swift; and many close and special neighbors.
