Visitation will be at Clugston Funeral Home, Macomb, any time this evening and at church one hour before services tomorrow. The family will meet friends from 7 to 10 p.m. today.

She was found dead in her car at her home early Sunday. Death was from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Born in Augusta Jan. 6, 1932, a daughter of Wayne and Elsie Dorsett Shoopman, she married Dr. Robert F. Barkley, Sept. 1, 1952, and lived in Manilla, the Phillipines, from 1952 to 1954. She lived in Macomb from 1957 to 1973 and in Bushnell since 1973.
She married Frank Garrison Aug. 11, 1973, and he survives along with three sons, Kevin Barkley, Macomb, David Barkley, Boston, Mass., and Jon Barkley of Decatur; and two daughters, Ann and Sarah Barkley, both at home.
Also surviving are five step-sons, Jim, Steve, Brad, Gary, and Doug Garrison; two step-daughters, Mrs Doug (Jam...) Surrat and Yvonne Garrison; eight step-grandchildren; one brother, Keith Shoopman, Augusta; and one sister, Mrs. William (Marilyn) Sweeney, rural Avon. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was a member of the church, its choir and its Bible Study group.

Forrest O. Newcombe, 76, Macomb, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. He was born July 22, 1929, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Ernest and Eunice (Mueller) Newcombe. He is survived by one daughter, Michelle S. Rossmiller, Macomb; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Newcombe, Justin, Thea, and Quentin Rossmiller; one daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Newcombe, Chicago; and two sisters, Mary Kay Gragg, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Judith Ann Stuart, Kansas City, Kan. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Newcombe; and two grandchildren, Zachary and Margaret Ann Rossmiller. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base from 1950-1953. He retired from the Physical Plant at Western Illinois University. He was a member of the Wichita Kansas Albert Pike Lodge #303 AF & AM and also Ipava Order of Eastern Star #226. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Macomb. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Chicago. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, Macomb, is in charge of arrangements.
