He was an Army veteran, having served 4 1/2 years as a staff sergeant. Mr. Keebler served in Alaska, the Pacific, the European Theater and Rhine River Valley.
He retired as assistant sales manager from Belknap Hardware Stores, Louisville, after 32 years of service.
Mr. Keebler was a member of Middletown Masonic Lodge No. 732 and the Louisville Scottish Rites.

Sam Jack (Sonny) Keebler, 76, of Limestone, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Keebler was a dairy farmer in Limestone for over 45 years and was a member of the Limestone U.M. Church. He was a kind and gentle man known for his business integrity & consideration of his employees. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Gillespie Keebler; and father, Sam Murray Keebler. Survivors include several cousins: Karen Flowers, of Irmo, S.C., Kathy Callahan and Kim Medlin, of Cumming, Ga., U.S. Keebler III, of Limestone, Gale Keebler Arnold, of Johnson City, Doug Keebler, of Limestone, Jack & Allison Lowry, of Tampa, Fla., Mickey Williams, of Palm Desert, Calif., Russ Williams, of Knoxville; and beloved friend, Virginia Crane, of Limestone. Also a special thanks to all the employees of John M. Reed Nursing Home & Elde Reed Haus in Limestone for their loving care of Mr. Keebler. Mrs. Rader was a housewife and widow of Robert F. Taylor and Robert H. Rader.
She was a member of Limestone United methodist Church.
Mrs. Rader was a daughter of the late Sam L. and Lucy Stout Keebler and was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathryn Keebler Williams and Jerome Keebler Lowry; a brother: Sam Murray Keebler; and a niece: Lucile Lowry Logan.
Survivors include five nephews: Russell A. Williams of Knoxville, Michael K. Williams of Newport Beach, Calif., Jack Lowry and Allison Lowry, both of Tampa, Fla., and Sam J. Keebler of Limestone.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 p.m. today at Jeffers Mortuary.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 6:30 in the mortuary chapel. The Rev. Dan Thieben will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 Thursday morning in Urbana Cemetery in Limestone for a graveside service at 11 o'clock.
Pallbearers will be Doug Keebler, U.S. Keebler Jr., Robert "Bobby" Cutshaw, Keebler Williams, Chris Williams, and Tommy Martin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lucy Keebler Taylor Rader will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at 6:30 p.m. at Jeffers Mortuary Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday, March 30, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Urbana Cemetery. Minister will be the Rev. Daniel Thieben. Active pallbearers will be Doug Keebler, U.S. Keebler Jr., Robert "Bobby" Cutshaw, Keebler Williams, Chris Williams and Tommy Martin. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. at Jeffers Mortuary. The body will remain at Jeffers Mortuary until time to go to the cemetery.
