JOHNSON CITY -- Raymond M. Long, 66, a well-known Johnson City businessman died at Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Long was president of Range Auto Parts and was president of the Automotive Wholesales Association of Tennessee at the time of his death.
Long was also a member of the Johnson City Rotary club and the Johnson City Lodge No. 486 F. & A.M. He was a member of the Southwestern Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Iris Moore Long of the home; one son, Raymond M. Long, Jr., of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel C. Farmer, Johnson City; two brothers, Herman C. Long, Johnson City, William G. Long, Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Robert B. Harkless, Lake City, Fla.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today from the Central Baptist Church, the Rev. James Cambron and Dr. James Canaday officiating. Interment will be in Happy Valley Memorial Park.

Mrs. Mary L. McKoin Long, 94, Appalachian Christian Village, died Wednesday afternoon at her home.
She was a registered nurse and served as an Army nurse for the duration of World War I with a University of Virginia Unit stationed in France.
Mrs. Long was also a public health nurse in Asheville, N.C., and was supervisor of nurses at Memorial Hospital, Battleboro, Vt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren E. Long, in 1960.
Survivors include two nieces, Atlanta.

MRS. MARGARET T. LONG
Mrs. Margaret Thomas Long, 93, 1010 Nottingham Place, died Saturday, July 13, 1991, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
She was a Carter County native and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Mrs. Long was a daughter of the late John Susong and Josephine Taylor Thomas.
She was the director of services to military families with the American Red Cross for 28 years.
Mrs. Long attended Stetson University and was an East Tennessee State University graduate.
She was a teacher in the Washington County and Lake County, Fla., school systems.
Mrs. Long was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Sarah Hawkins Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Monday Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Long Sr., in 1976, one son and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Hyde, Aspen, Colo., and Marguerite Mettetal, Kingsport; nine grandchildren, Gwynn Mettetal, South Bend, Ind., Jerome T. Mettetal, Johnson City, David S. Mettetal, Johnstown, Pa., Art C. Hyde Jr., Breckenridge, Colo., Ann H. Hyde and Carolyne T. Hyde, both of Denver, H. Clyde long II, San Francisco, Gary T, Long, Rockville, Md., and Patrick M. Long, Gaithersburg, Md.; and eight great-grandchildren.
