Rebecca Sue Robinson Hadden, 54, of Montgomery City, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at her home.
Becky Hadden was born on September 24, 1954, in the state of California. She was the daughter of Clifford Don and Wanda Jean Gruber Robinson. Becky attended Bellflower Elementary School and graduated from Montgomery County R-11 High School with the class of 1973. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life Patrick Jay Hadden on August 31, 1974. The absolute light of Becky's life was her children, Erin Monsen and Ryan Hadden. Becky enjoyed her family most of all in life and 2 granddaughters were an extra bonus for her love of family. You did not see Becky without a photo in her hand of the girls. Another favorite past time was her flowers. She loved spring when her gardens would start to bloom and the nurseries would open to buy her flowers for the summer and add to her perennials. She also enjoyed the fact that the Hadden residence was the starting point of the annual Montgomery County Fair Parade and was Truman the Tiger's "changing station" for the parade.
Becky was thoughtful, helpful and loving to all and loved life to the fullest. Becky was a hairdresser for thirty-four years. She owned and operated Kut's & Such and created a lot of wonderful memories during that time with her customers. Becky then ventured into the medical work field and worked as a surgical tech for 2 years at Boone Hospital and Regional Hospital. She returned to being a hairdresser and currently worked at Ultimate Hair in Warrenton, MO. Becky was a member of the First United Methodist-Presbyterian Church of Montgomery City, MO.
Becky is survived by her husband, Pat Hadden, of the home in Montgomery City; one son, Ryan Hadden and his wife, Stacy, of Montgomery City; and a daughter, Erin Monsen and her husband, Jared of Mexico, MO; and two grandchildren: Juanita Grace Hadden and Ava Rebecca Monsen and lifelong friend, Pam Mulverhill.
Other survivors include several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends that she touched their hearts and made them laugh with her everlasting loving spirit of life.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2009, at the First United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Keith Janis and Reverend Carolyn Hoffmann officiated. The family received friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Becky's ashes will be interred at a later date in the Bellflower Cemetery. Casketbearers included John "Swede" Groteluschen, Bob Brandenburg, Jared Monsen, Sonny Delozier, Marcus Forrest, and Bobby Caldwell.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the New Florence Baptist Church Youth Group or to the University of Missouri's Children Hospital, c/o Schlander Funeral Hme, 207 Danville Rd., Montgomery City, MO 63361.
