GALESBURG -- Zula Greenup, 98, of Galesburg, formerly of Industry, died at 6:53 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 1995, at Seminary Manor.
Born May 24, 1897, in Tennessee, Ill., to Dean and Lela Butcher Osborn, she married Edward L. Greenup on Nov. 24, 1920, in Macomb. He died Dec. 4, 1973. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara J. Drury; one son, James Dean Greenup; two grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, John Greenup of Jackson, Mich.; four grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She moved to Galesburg in 1988 after living most of her life in Industry. She was a member of the Industry United Methodist Church and the Industry Rebekah Lodge. She was a member of the Macomb Order of Eastern Star.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Marshall Litchfield will officiate. Family visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today until time of services. Burial will be in Industry Cemetery.

Milton I. Osborn, 89, of Macomb died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 1993, at the Colchester Nursing Home.
He was born June 3, 1904 at Monroe City, Mo., to Henry and Lela (Butcher) Osborn. He married Janice Grisham April 23, 1967, at Macomb. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Marcia Hall of Macomb and Janice L. Osborn of Peoria; three grandchildren; one sister, Zula Greenup of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by one son, David, two brothers and two sisters.
He worked for Bader's Grain Elevator for several years.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery with Mr. Matt Hunt officiating.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home.

Asks $35,000 In Dram Shop Suit After Auto Crash
Wilma Timbrook, of 3570 3rd St., East Moline, has filed a $35,000 dram shop suit in Rock Island County Circuit Court naming the operators of four East Moline taverns as defendants.
According to the suit, the woman's husband, Henry A. Timbrook, was sold liquor in the taverns on Oct. 11, 1968, leading to his intoxication.
He then was involved in a two-car accident when he turned in front of another auto while attempting to enter the driveway of his home.
The defendants named in the suit are James Vozikis, doing business as the Duck Inn, 236 19th St.; Omer and Mary DeBo, doing business as the Two Front Inn, 1306 13th St.; Luise Sidlinger, doing business as DeCapp's Tavern, 1327 13th Ave., and the Cow Bell Tap Inc., 1312 13th St.
The suit asks $20,000 for loss of support for Mrs. Timbrook and the couple's three children and $15,000 for medical bills.

WASHINGTON - Wayne E. Elston, 85, of Washington passed away at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Washington Christian Village.
Wayne was born May 25, 1929, in Industry to Louis and Ruth Elston. He married Marlene Cox McDougal on Aug. 4, 1964, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are six children, Albert (Suzanne) Elston of Cleveland, Tenn., Becky (Warren) Howard of Tremont, Vicky Elston of Peoria, Delbert (Paula) Elston of Mississippi, Rebecca (David) Drum of Washington and Linda (Steve) Williams of Morton; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two siblings; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Elston of Pontiac.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, including a brother, Marvin Elston.
Wayne served in the U.S. Navy and went on to own several local businesses, including Elston Motors. Most recently he owned E & H Insulation.
He was a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan, but most important to him was his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Christian Village.

Mrs. Dressler died today, Oct. 21, 1992, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Bowling Green, Ky., the daughter of Crit and Alma Harman Carter. She grew up in Bowling Green and graduated from high school there.
Mrs. Dressler moved to Lawrence in 1963 and worked as a housekeeper at the Virginia Inn Motel for more than 12 years.
She married Howard Elston on June 20, 1946, in Illinois. They later divorced. She married Franklin Dressler on June 10, 1980, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.

Asks $35,000 In Dram Shop Suit After Auto Crash
Wilma Timbrook, of 3570 3rd St., East Moline, has filed a $35,000 dram shop suit in Rock Island County Circuit Court naming the operators of four East Moline taverns as defendants.
According to the suit, the woman's husband, Henry A. Timbrook, was sold liquor in the taverns on Oct. 11, 1968, leading to his intoxication.
He then was involved in a two-car accident when he turned in front of another auto while attempting to enter the driveway of his home.
The defendants named in the suit are James Vozikis, doing business as the Duck Inn, 236 19th St.; Omer and Mary DeBo, doing business as the Two Front Inn, 1306 13th St.; Luise Sidlinger, doing business as DeCapp's Tavern, 1327 13th Ave., and the Cow Bell Tap Inc., 1312 13th St.
The suit asks $20,000 for loss of support for Mrs. Timbrook and the couple's three children and $15,000 for medical bills.

GREEN ROCK -- Services for Henry A. Timbrook, 62, of 3570 Kennedy Drive, East Mollne, former mayor of Green Rock, will be 1 p. m. Thursday at Fairman Funeral Home, Green Rock. The Rev. James Seago, of First Baptist Church, Green Rock, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Pathway Hospice at Lutheran Hospital or American Cancer Society.
Mr. Timbrook died Monday at his home.
He retired in 1984 as maintenance supervisor for the City of East Mollne. He had been employed for five years with the Illinois Highway Department. He had been employed by Deere & Co. and was president of United Auto Workers Local 79 from 1947 to 1955, then regional director of United Auto Workers International from 1955 to 1964.
Mr. Timbrook was born in Lentner, Mo. He married Wilme Elston in 1944 in Industry.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He served as Green Rock city treasurer from 1955 to 1959 and Green Rock mayor from 1959 to 1963.
He was a member of Silvis Masonic Lodge 898, AF&AM, and Green Rock-Colona American Legion.
Survivors Include the widow; daughters, Mrs. Peggy Hufford, East Mollne, Mrs. Yvonne Stauffer, Baylis, and Mrs. Louise Schaver, Albany; sons, Henry Jr., Green Rock, and Everett Roy, serving with the U.S. Army in Indianapolis, and 10 grandchildren.

He survived for many years after getting clean of drugs but towards the end when the illness got worse he turned back to drugs and died a few years ago of heroin. He was a good man despite his many flaws.

Roy was born April 10, 1952, in Moline, the son of Henry Sr. and Wilma Elston Timbrook. He was a graduate of United Township High School class of 1970 and the University of Illinois class of 1974. He served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1985. He had been a chef, working in several areas including Houston, Texas, and Tucson, Ariz.
He was an avid reader. He adored his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Wilma and Dale Hayes, Moline; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Larry Hufford, Osborn, Ill., Yvonne and Richard Stauffer, Pittsfield, Ill., Louise Schaver, Bloomington, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Shirley Timbrook Jr., Colona; four nieces; five nephews; 20 great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Timothy Timbrook.
