Ruby G. (Burgoon) Randel, 80, of Springfield, MO passed away March 1, 2008 in Springfield. She was born July 27, 1927 in Nevada, MO, the daughter Joseph and Arlie Bly Wallace. She attended school in South Dakota.
Ruby worked in meat markets and in sewing factories throughout her life up until 1978, when she married her husband, Jack Randel. Jack preceded her in death on February 27, 2002. Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Briley of Shell Knob, MO; sons, Robert Albers of Globe, AZ, Boyd Albers of New Market, AL; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

John Peter Goebel, of Baldwin, Kansas, brother of Tony Goebel, of Enterprise, passed away in Lawrence, Kansas, March 11, 1957, and his body is being brought to Wallowa for burial.
Recitation of Rosary was at 8:30 last evening, March 13, at Lawrence, and arrangements have been made by the Booth-Bollman funeral home for requiem mass to be offered by Father John Baumgartner at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Wallowa Monday, March 18, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Catholic section of the Wallowa cemetery.
The deceased was born November 17, 1876 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of John and Margaret Goebel. For a number of years he lived in Wallowa county and operated the telephone office both in Joseph and Wallowa before going to Kansas. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include: three daughters: Mrs. Gene (Stella) Randel, Mrs. Jack [May] Randel, and Mrs. John [Ethel] Herrington, all of Baldwin , Kansas; brother Tony Goebel, of Enterprise; two sisters; Mrs. Ralph [Catherine} Haun, of Lostine and Mrs. W.K. [Lena] Graves, of Portland; and five grandchildren.
OBITUARY - Find-A-Grave
Funeral services for May Randel, 82, Baldwin City, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin City. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.
Ms. Randel died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 18, 1924, in Irrigon, Ore., the daughter of John Peter and Ora Ethel Burrus Goebel. She attended grade school in Edgerton and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1942.
Ms. Randel was a homemaker. She later worked for Vermilian's Furniture Manufacturing in Baldwin City and E & E Specialists in Lawrence for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and especially her animals.
She married Jack Randel. They divorced.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ethel Evelyn Moody and Stella Margaret Randel.

Marilyn June Davault was born to Ada Tot (Minnick) and Ellsmere Merle(Joe) Davault, on May 2, 1939, in Vineland, Kansas.
Marilyn passed peacefully from this life, on January 18, 2018. At her time of passing, Marilyn was 78 years old and resided at The Citadel, in Mesa, AZ.
As a child, Marilyn grew up in both Kansas and Missouri. Her mother Ada, was a homemaker and her father Joe, owned and operated the Springfield Equipment Company. Marilyn attended Central High School, in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with a scholarship in music. She also received the title of Seven Star Thespian, in dramatic arts. Marilyn attended Hamlin Baptist Church, as a girl, also in Springfield, where she was baptized and an active member of the church choir. She also sang for weddings and many other special events. Marilyn was a very talented singer/actress and played the piano with great joy and enthusiasm, throughout her life.
Instead of pursuing a college career, in 1957, she married Charles Elvin Smith and they had three children from this union: in 1958, Candice Olivares-Prangley of Apache Junction, Arizona, in 1960, David Joseph Smith of Phoenix, Arizona, and 1962, Gregory Allen Smith, Peachtree, Georgia.
Marilyn had a very full and colorful life. She was later married to Air Force Master Sargent, James D. Dockens. They were stationed abroad, in both Spain and England, when her children were young. While in England, she was very interested in antiques and visited many historical places. Upon her return to the United States, she resided mainly in Phoenix, Arizona, for the remainder of her life, working as a care provider.
In her later life she loved to go fishing on the boat, traveling around and visiting beautiful places in Arizona, coloring in her coloring books and enjoying playing the piano, singing, and enjoying good food family and friends. She always wanted to have a party and invite all of the kids!
She is survived by her daughter Candice, her son David, six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Gregory Smith, of Peachtree, Georgia, both parents, Ada and Ellsmere (Joe) Davault of Springfield, Missouri, and a brother, Larry Joe Davault, of Blueye, Missouri. Also, a half brother and half sister, Norman Dee Spring of Kansas and Norma Jean Tabor, of Kansas City, Missouri.
May the Lord be with her and bless her... and may she rest in eternal peace.

OBITUARY -
BALDWIN CITY -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Baldwin City for Roger Dale Randel Sr., 50, formerly of Baldwin City. He died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Randel was a broadcaster for various radio stations in the area including KMAJ, KMBU, WREN, KSKX and KTOP. He had two syndicated shows, "Lessons in Faith," that was broadcast in The Philippines, Asia and parts of Russia, and "Five Minutes with Jesus," that was broadcast in various places throughout the United States, including in Iowa, Nebraska, California and Tennessee.
He also was a drummer for several bands, including the Outlaw Band and Karen Downs and Co. He became pastor of Topeka Faith Center in 1993 and retired in 1996. He also was the founder and president of Randel Ministries Inc.
He was born July 8, 1951, in Lawrence, the son of Orville Kenneth and Betty Jane Collins Randel. He was raised in Baldwin City and graduated from high school in Baldwin City. He attended Baker University and The University of Kansas .
Mr. Randel was a member of the Topeka Faith Center and a former member of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters and the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship in Topeka.
He married Connie Pearson on March 6, 1972, in Platt City, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Sarah Randel, at home, and Jennifer Randel, Salina; a son, Roger Randel Jr., Topeka; his parents, Betty and Orville Randel, Baldwin City; two brothers, John Rockhold, Lawrence, and Greg Randel, Baldwin City; a sister, Judy Higgins, Lawrence; and a granddaughter.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City. Mr. Randel will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Baldwin City, where visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Randel Ministries Inc. and sent in care of the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Berhimer, Mo., the daughter of Clydie Oscar and Zola D. Smith Collins. She grew up in Bryant, Mo., where she attended school. She graduated from Baldwin High School.
Mrs. Randel was a homemaker. She worked at Sunflower Ordnance Depot at De Soto. She and her husband owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Lawrence and a laundromat in Baldwin. She also worked as a custodian at Baker University. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Baldwin.
She married Orville Randel on Nov. 28, 1950, in Nevada, Mo. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, John Rockhold, Lawrence, and Greg Randel, Baldwin; a daughter, Judy Randel-Phillips, Topeka; four sisters, Joy Stafford, Walla Walla, Wash., Mildred Schomer, Lawrence, Dorothy Spring, Williamsburg, and Sue Von Bargen, Baldwin; two brothers, Bill Collins, Centropolis, and Bob Collins, Mountain Grove, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A son, Roger Dale Randel Sr., died earlier.
