Kathryn G. Groft, 88, of Ocala, Florida, is present with her Lord, Jesus, having left her home in Ocala on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on September 29, 1924 and was daughter to the late Howard and Sophia (Baker) Staley. She was a homemaker who spent her life caring and loving for her family. Kathryn was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala, FL. She was the greatest cook and enjoyed being at home. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 56 years, Gervase in 1998, granddaughter Lucinda and her five brothers and three sisters. Kathryn is survived by her daughters Linda K. Freeman of South Mountain, PA and Joyce Ann Groft of Ocala; grandson Steven Freeman and his wife Shannon of Chambersburg, PA; great-grandchildren, Jade, Diamond and Kristian; also numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 7th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at 8:30AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala with Father O'Doherty officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala. THOMASVILLE George J. Plonk, Jr., 86, of Jackson Township, died Wednesday evening, July 18, 2007, at York Hospital.
Born January 27, 1921, in York, a son of the late George J. and Mary M. (Lahr) Plonk, he retired from Saint Regis Paper Company, where he also played on the company's softball team.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a former member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in York, and was an avid bowler.
Mr. Plonk is survived by his wife of 61 years, Miriam R. "Becky" (Beck) Plonk; three daughters, Joyce M. Bollinger, Nancy K. Diehl, and Donna L. Plonk; four sons, William P. Plonk, George J. Plonk, III, John D. Plonk, and Steve R. Plonk; 16 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs, with military rites presented by Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Anna C. Kloker, 83, of York County Hospital and Home, formerly of Jessop Place, York, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the home. She was the wife of Leo J. Kloker and the late Gerald Groft.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Saviour Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Heffner Funeral Home-North York, 1223 N. George St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kloker was the daughter of the late George J. and Mary M. (Lahr) Plonk.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in York.
Mrs. Kloker also is survived by three stepsons, Norman Kloker, Donald Kloker and John Kloker; two stepdaughters, Marie Rohrbaugh, and Jane Riley; a brother, George J. Plonk Jr. of Thomasville, and a sister, Amelia Wolf of California.

They were attended by Miss Mary Plonk, sister of the bride, and Leo Wering, both of York.

Roque P. Groft
Roque P. "Boss" Groft, 72, Hanover R. 2, died at Hanover General Hospital Friday afternoon at 3:30.
He was born in McSherrystown, a son of the late Charles D. and Emma Page Groft, and was the husband of Catherine Waddles Groft, who survives.
He was a pitcher for Adams County, York and McSherrystown baseball teams from 1920-25; was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Hanover; a life member of the McSherrystown Moose and a member of AARP. He had worked for the Pennsylvania Highway Dept.
Surviving in addition to his wife and son, Richard C. Groft, Bonneauville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy L. Groft, Hanover R. 2; two granddaughters and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren where the body will lie in state from 1 to 2 o'clock. Rev. Roger Forry will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at Wetzel Funeral Home Sunday evening.
