Surviving are his wife, who before marriage was Miss Lillian Resh. and two children. George Groft. at home, and Miss Florence Groft. New York City.

Stanley T. Resh, 82, of East Berlin, died Thursday, Nov. 27 at York Hospital. Born March 2, 1921, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Irvin and Cora (Trone) Resh. He was the husband of Pearl B. (Auchey) Resh, to whom he was married since Aug. 8,1944. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in East Berlin. He retired from Precision Components in York after numerous years of service as a boiler man. He also farmed for most of his life.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II with the 17th Armored Infantry Battalion, 12th Armored Division.
He fought in the Rhineland Central Europe Campaign and was awarded the Sharpshooter M1 Rifle Badge, Combat infantry Badge, Expert Antitank Badge, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern
Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the Good Conduct Medal.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael T. Resh of Dover; two daughters, Judy A. Cable of York and Debra K. Parthemer of Dover; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn W. Resh of Hanover and Nevin I. Resh of Dillsburg. He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen C. Trump, and two brothers, Earl K. Frock and Clair Frock. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 116 W. King St., East Berlin, with his pastor, the Rev. William Lindsey, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Viewings will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30, from 2-4 p.m. at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick St., Hanover, and from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 at the church. The Hanover Allied Veterans Council will provide full military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Resh, Andrew Parthemer, Bryan Parthemer, and Cory Daugherty. The family, suggests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 116 W. King St., East Berlin, PA 17316.

Pearl B. (Auchey) Resh, of York, was called to her Heavenly eternal rest November 20, 2011. She was the wife of the late Stanley T. Resh. with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Prior to her passing, Pearl resided at Assisted Living on Kelly Drive in York for 7 years and most recently at Sprenkle Nursing and rehab Center for the last two years.
Born February 21, 1919, in Hanover, Pearl was the daughter of the late Claude and Ellen (Rodgers) Auchey.
Pearl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin. Her life revolved around her family, who meant the world to her. She always enjoyed having her family home to celebrate holidays and birthdays.
Most of her life was spent working alongside of her husband, Stan, on their 48 acre farm in East Berlin, where they raised mainly pigs, chickens, and vegetables. She loved country living and worked long hours picking vegetables and preparing them for sale at their roadside stand and baking cakes and pies for customers who loved her made from scratch specialties. Before moving into the Lutheran Home, she was known to have a large collection of salt and pepper shakers, a large collection of dolls which she made clothes for and sold, and a large collection of plants and flowers. In addition to this, she enjoyed reading romance novels, sewing, watching birds, and going to yard sales with her sisters. She had a love for the lord and read the bible each night at bed time.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children and their spouses, Michael T. Resh and wife, Charmaine of Dover, Judy A. Cable and husband Frank of York, and Debra K. Paino and husband Martin of York; five grandchildren, Timothy Resh and wife Julie of Georgia, Sharon Daugherty and husband Cory of York, Lisa Fisher and Husband Matt of Dover, and Andrew and Bryan Parthemer of Etters; three step-grandchildren, Joseph Paino and wife Johnna of Middletown, and Jeff and John Paino of Texas; five great-grandchildren, Addison Resh, Casey and Alex Daugherty, Eric and Nicole Fisher; a sister, Lena Reichart of Hanover, and a brother, Dale Auchey of Mechanicsburg, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Pearl was preceded in death by seven brothers, Norman, Irvin, Claude, Fred, William, Richard, and Robert Auchey and two sisters, Thelma Auchey and Betty Glass.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Pearl's life will be held 11 a.m. November 25, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin, with Interim Pastor Rev. Richard Hair officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Serving as casketbearers will be Timothy Resh, Andrew Parthemer, Bryan Parthemer, Cory Daugherty, Matthew Fisher, and Nevin Auchey.
