Eva Phyllis Edwards, 67, a Suquamish resident for 20 years, and a life-long resident of Washington state, died yesterday at U. S. Naval Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1899, in Rosalia (Whitman County), she married Henry D. Edwards March 25, 1931, in San Diego, Calif. Mr. Edwards is a retired Navy career man.
They lived for a while in Honolulu, Hawaii; Omaha, Neb., and New London, Conn. They settled in Suquamish in 1947.
She is survived by her widower, Henry D., at the family home; a sister, Mrs. Juan Lammon, Wallowa, Ore.; two brothers, Boyd Schlaefer, Moses Lake, and Wallace Schlaefer, Hammond, La.
A memorial service will be held at the Suquamish United Church of Christ Feb. 21, at 1 p. m. Cremation will be at Bleitz Funeral Home, Seattle.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the Seattle Handicapped Club Inc., 2525 S. Hill St., Seattle.

Henry D. Edwards, 78, of Indianola died Wednesday at Naval Regional Medical Center, Bremerton, after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1900 in Girard, Ill. He was a retired Navy chief engineman and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel G.; and two brothers, R. F. of Ormon Beach, Fla., and J. N. of Cari, Ill.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Community Congregational Church in Indianola. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Esther Muller, P.O. Box 4258, Wycoff Station, Bremerton 98310 or to a favorite charity.

Was Manager of John Deere Plow Company --- Widely Known In Indland Empire
In the death of William Lane Taylor, age 70, yesterday morning at his home at Fourteenth and Madison after a long illness, a real pioneer of the west past away. Mr. Taylor was born in Marion county, Oregon, his parents having crossed the plains by ox team in 1852.
His early life was spent in Oregon, buy about 40 years ago he moved to Pullman where he engaged in the hardware and implement business. He came to Spokane 26 years ago and for 23 years was manager here for the John Deere Plow company. He retired as manager several years ago due to reaching the age limit, and had since been conducting the retail department of the John Deere company under the name of W. L. Taylor & Co.
He was married in Spokane in 1891. His widow and one son, Archie D. Taylor, manager of the John Deere Plow company, survive. He is survived also by one grandchild. Three brothers, Douglas, George and Grant Taylor live at Hasley, Ore.
He was a member of the A. O. U. W. lodge at Pullman.
Mr. Taylor was probably the most widely known hardware and implement dealer in the Inland Empire and had a host of friends all over the district. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock from the house. Mrs Erma Wells will officiate. Burial will be at Peace Abbey, Fairmont. The body is at Smith & Co.'s.
