Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Mrs. Qualls was of the Methodist faith, and an active volunteer in the community including work with the NC Baptist Hospital and the Piedmont Environment Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archibald G. Qualls and a grandson, Patrick Bowman.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Qualls Lynch and husband, Ben of Jamestown, Betty Southern of High Point and Sheila Bowman of Greensboro; son, Robert A. Qualls and wife, Connie of Tijeras, New Mexico; grandchildren, Sandra McGee, Karen Walls and husband, Tommy, Terri Lynch and husband, Phil Purcell, Christopher Lynch, Alan Lynch, Eric Southern and wife, Nancy, Katie Webb and husband, Joe, Christina Southern, Robert Bowman and wife, Gudrun, Sean Qualls, Lindsey Qualls, and Patrick O'Connor; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her beloved cat, Timmy.

A celebration of her life will be held 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Elizabeth was born in Boone, N.C., the daughter of Archibald G. and Shelia D. DeVault Qualls. She worked as a property manager for most of her working career. She retired in 2003 to Jamestown, N.C., to be close to her children and sisters.
Surviving are her children, Eric Southern and wife, Nancy of Jamestown, N.C., Katie Webb and husband, Joe and Christina Southern, all of High Point, N.C.; grandchildren, Jamie Southern, Andy, Keaton, and Jordan Webb; sisters, Barbara Lynch and husband, Ben of Jamestown, N.C., Shelia Bowman of Greensboro, N.C.; and brother, Robert Qualls of Albuquerque, N.M. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own.
The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday.
