She was a native of Washington County, where she had spent her entire life.
She was a member of Munsey Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include the husband, James S. King; one son, Cecil E. of Johnson City; three daughters, Carmel King and Margaret King, both of the home, and Mrs. Ruth Hartley of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Caruthers and Mrs. Charlie Whitaker, both of Johnson City; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE - Johnson City, Tennessee; November 24, 1962:

KING, MRS. E. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Edna E. King, 117 W. Holston Ave., who died at 5:35 p. m. Friday at Memorial Hospital, will be held at 3:30 p. m. Sunday from Munsey Memorial Methodist Church, with Dr. R. H. Duncan, Virgil Anderson and Dr. James Canaday officiating. Interment will be in Monte Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Caruthers, Stanley Denny, George Greenwell, Roy Brumit, Robert Brumit, Fred Brumit, E. L. Rowe and Vernon Hodge. The Bertha Range Circle of the church and ICT girls of Science Hill High School will serve as flower bearers. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p. m. Saturday and will then be taken to the church one hour before the service. Kiser-Woodall is in charge.
