Mrs. Viola E. Boling
Services for Mrs. Viola E. Boling wife of Colorado Springs Police Chief Oren E. Boling, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Swan Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with pallbearers an Honor Guard of the police department. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Glassier, Ralph Watson, Byron Thadey, Mark Reyner, W.D. Vandenberg, Keith Hook, William Majors, Nate Dean and J.D. Ackerman. Mrs. Boling, 2306 N. Circle Drive, died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 1, 1902, in Bloomington, Ill., and moved to Colorado Springs when she was a small child. She attended local schools and was married Nov. 15, 1953, in Washington, D.C. She was associated for many years with Bell Telephone Co. and belonged to the Telephone Pioneers. Other than her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Melvin Reiner of Colorado Springs, Verlin Reiner of Los Angeles, Calif., and Pershing Reiner of Laguna Beach, Calif,; two sisters, LaRona Clark of Colorado Springs and Elizabeth Anderson, Scottsdale, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
