Mrs. Claridge was born in Plattville, Colo., to James Selmer Keefauver and the former Helen Henrietta Sawdey.
She loved to knit and crochet gifts for family members and friends. She also loved to go camping and to travel with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Marty and Dick Johnson of Yuma, Ariz., and Robin and Jack Sapienza and Barb and Ronn Dunn of Medford; daughters, Gayle White of Graham, Wash., Sandra Billette of Milwaukie, Ore., and Deborah Billette of Klamath Falls; three sisters; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis H. Claridge Sr. and sons Ellis H. Claridge Jr. and Marlin G. Claridge.

KEEFAUVER, WALTER G., passed away August 14, 1973. Resident of 2008 Appaloosa Lane, Arcata. Husband of Helen Keefauver of Arcata. Father of James Edward Keefauver of Arcata, Ronnie Eugene Keefauver of McKinleyville, Ricky A. Horner of Arcata, Julia Ann Sawyers and Jeffery Lynn Sawyers both of Arcata. Son of Mrs. Helen Keefauver of Blue Lake, Brother of Leona Woods of Gilchrist, Oregon, Donna Claridge of Klamath Falls, Ore., Charlene Ortinier of Blue Lake, Mary Ann Bower of Craig, Colo. and Sarah Black of Concord, Calif. Grandfather of Shelley Leeann and Brandon James Keefauver of Arcata and Aaron Eugene Keefauver of McKinleyville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of red Lodge, Montana, aged 46 years.
Services will be held at Paul's Funeral Chapel, Arcata, Saturday, August 18 at 11 a.m. with Mr. Louie Holcomb officiating.
Active casket bearers will be Gerry Harpe, Don Kern, Burl Bradbury, Jay Cholwell, Everett Christensen and Bob Sabbut. Honorary will be Ronnie Lovejoy, Charles Brittain, Judge Ronald Rowland, Jim Pickle, Bill Seates Jr. and Wendy Freeman.
