Lillian, my grandfather Frank Aney's wife was an artist. Their oldest child (my father's oldest sister) Anna lived out in California. She was married to Andrew Leffering. Also, some of my grandmother Aney's family (the Baughman's) who moved from Pa. to Ill. and then quite a few of them moved on to the Oregon and Washington State area. In fact, Lillian died on the train returning to Muskego via Illinois from visiting her sisters out in Oregon. I also know that my grandfather Frank Aney was a school teacher before he was elected to office here in Sullivan Township, Muskegon, Michigan. It's possible that he was also an art teacher. This I don't know. But I do know that they both traveled out to that area to visit relatives. My father who was the youngest of their children used to talk about trips they made via train when he was growing up.
