Well, Edgar was kind of a bad guy. I haven’t sort it all out but I believe my Dad was born in 1910 (not 1908) in either Sioux City or Hawarden, IA to Gertrude Emily Moniger. She and Edgar were not married. He also at the same had another affair with Gertrude Foyle a co-worker in Omaha. Her family doesn’t think they were married but Gertrude Foyle used his last name and FC says she was divorced (I can find neither marriage nor divorce records). Gertrude Sniffens family had his name. I had no information on him other than DNA results (all info my Dad had wasn’t true). For years I stared at names Including Sniffen in my DNA results & some crosses with my mom’s and came up with names and people, but they just weren’t close enough until Chad & his family in Omaha. So between all the consistent names, the similar stories and the second cousin. I am sure on this. I spoke this morning with Linda Bensey who is Charlottes granddaughter and he also deserted her family too. My tree is Wilton family tree on Ancestry, and I have started to put up names, but I haven’t put Gertrude Foyle family in there yet. Chad’s tree is Reibold family tree and has Gertrude F. Info. So except for my tree no one has that info up there yet. So Charlotte would my half aunt. My direct email is mharvey126@yahoo.com. Margo. Edgar and Gertrude were never married.
