Cliff Moubry, 72, Dies in Texas
Funeral services were held for Cliff Moubry, 72, of Shellsburg, Thursday afternoon at the Palo Methodist church. The Rev. B. A. Weldlandt officiated at the services. Mr. Moubry, a former resident of the Urbana community, died of a heart attack Sunday morning in McAllen, Texas, where he and his wife had gone to spend the winter.
Mr. Moubry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Moubry, was born Sept. 17, 1885, near Shellsburg. He married Dora Johnson on April 7, 1904.
He is survived by his wife and five children: Mrs. Leland "Marie" Cantonwine of Shellsburg; Faye Moubry of Novelty, Mo.; James of Palo; Arnold of Vinton, and Elzo of Tulsa, Okla. Fourteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive.
Internment was in the Palo cemetery with the Fry and Holland Funeral home of Vinton in charge of arrangements.
