Suit for $10,000 damages was filed in district court Friday by Laverne Schrank, 20, by her mother Ada Schrank, against Harry R. Stork and Ella A. Green. The petition says Laverne stepped upon the lid of a manhole to a grease trap at Stork's Barbecue at 1333 High st., March 22, and was precipitated into the trap and injured. Green is the owner of the place. It is claimed that the girl walked into the trap while going from the barbecue stand to her automobile. The suit was filed by Beghtol, Foe & Rankin.

Mr. Schrank served with the marine corps, Third infantry division, during the war. The couple will be home after Nov. 1 at 1544 Oak st., Napa., Calif.
