Harold Meyer Fulcher, of Red Lion, entered into rest on Monday, December 22, 2008, at his residence at the age of 76. He was the husband of Margaret V. (Brown) Fulcher, who entered into rest on October 19, 1998.
Born in Leesburg, Va., on April 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Edgar and Oakie (Hodge) Fulcher.
Mr. Fulcher retired in 1991 as an inspection analyst for Caterpillar after 37 years service. After retirement, he worked part-time at Festival Foods (Weis Markets) and Jerry's Food Rite. He spent a great deal of time helping others. He was a volunteer firefighter with New Bridgeville Fire Co. and later volunteered for Red Lion Ambulance Service. He was a lifetime member of Boy Scouts of America and was a former troop leader as well as a longtime member of Red Lion American Legion, for whom he did volunteering. Mr. Fulcher was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dallastown.
Surviving are three children, Patricia A. Blymire of Spry, E. Jane Reheard and husband, Bob of Huron, Ohio, and Steven M. Fulcher and wife, Cheri of Red Lion; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Fulcher of Woodstock, Va.; a sister, Grey Patrick of Glade Springs, Tenn.; and numerous other family members and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Fulcher and five sisters, Ruth Barnhart, Judy Fulcher, Ida Proffitt, Tad Howard, and Annie Pauline.
Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
