She was born June 12, 1932 in Harr, TN, a daughter of the late Harvey and Susie Cox Hash.
She was a former employee of Big Jack, L.C. King and Cozy Dozy. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her special parents, Charlie & Bessie Combs.
Survivors include: Husband: Donald L. "Don" Whitaker; Children: Ronald Martin and wife Susie, Kelvin Martin and wife Susanna, Teresa Hatfield and husband Richard, Janis Stanton and husband Danny, Kristal Thacker and husband Thomas, Dean Martin and wife Linda; Several Grandchildren, Step-Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Myrtle Felty and husband Bill; Brother: Harvey Hash and wife Eva; Sisters-in-law: Jenny and Carolyn Whitaker; Brother-in-law: Lonnie Whitaker and wife Ann; Several nieces and nephews
The funeral service for Mrs. Whitaker will be held at 7PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby King officiating.
The burial will be held at 11AM, Friday, in Moore Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Whitaker's grandsons.
