Clarence Tucker Died Yesterday In Asheville, N.C.
Mr. Clarence Stevens Tucker, age 44, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 in an Asheville hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for a week.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Willie Cooter Tucker, two children, Carolyn and J. N. Tucker and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Tucker, all of this city.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Asbury M. E. Church with the Rev. Dan Jones and the Rev. W. A. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
Active pall bearers will be Chas. Justice, Kyle Bewley, Henry Hogan, Henry Seaver, Jay Barnett and Max Easterly.
Members of the Men's Bible Class of the Asbury M. E. Sunday School of which he was a member, will serve as Honorary pall bearers. The body will be removed to the church Saturday afternoon at one o'clock to lie in state one hour before the service.
The deceased was a graduate of Tusculum College, where he took and active part in athletics. He later studied at the University of Tennessee. He was an active member of the Asbury Methodist Church since childhood and was a faithful member of the Men's Bible Class, serving as its secretary at the time of his death.
He was a good neighbor, a devoted husband and father and will be missed in his home, church and community.

Funeral for Jesse Fulkerson, 45, prominent farmer who lived near Fordtown, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Kendricks Creek church with the Rev. Ray Rowland and the Rev. Fred Watson scheduled to officiate.
Mr. Fulkerson died Saturday night in the Holston Valley Community Hospital after a short illness. He had spent his entire life in the Fordtown community and for a number of years was employed at the Tennessee Eastman corporation until forced to resign because of ill health. He was a member of the Double Springs Baptist church.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. E. L. Boyd and Miss Stella Fulkerson of Plattsburg, Mo, Mrs. Ben Overbay of Fordtown, Mrs. Eugene Moore, Kingsport; one brother, Abe Fulkerson, Shenandoah, Iowa.

Brechwald, Darlene Fulkerson - Darlene passed away on Friday, September 1, 2006, at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, following a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 82. Memorials are being directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Darlene Fulkerson Brechwald was born May 11, 1924 to Fairy (Collins) Fulkerson and Abe Fulkerson, in Shenandoah, Iowa. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1943.
She lived all her life in Shenandoah, working for Henry Field Seed and Nursery Company as a typist and file clerk for 38 years. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. She married DeLane Brechwald on August 7, 1976 in LasVegas, Nevada.
Preceding Darlene in death were her parents; brother, Harold Fulkerson; and her beloved husband DeLane (Butch) Brechwald. Darlene will be missed by all her family and friends.
Graveside services were held on Monday, September 11, 2006, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah. Vaughn Livingston read a scripture. Laurie Johnson and other friends gave remembrances of Darlene. Special music was "Friends" and "I Did It My Way". Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
