There has been some confusion as to which parents went with which Letitia. Janelle Walker Warden says that Letitia Ellen (Bacon) Archer is the daughter of Jesse Bacon and Martha Unknown. Janelle also says that Letitia (Bacon) Martin is the daughter of Charles Bacon and Amanda Ellis. The following facts seem to confirm her hypothesis:

Letitia Ellen (Bacon) Archer was born in May of 1853 per her grave stone.
Letitia (Bacon) Martin was born November 24, 1852 per N. S. Ferguson's genealogy.
If the dates are correct, Letitia (Bacon) Martin was the older of the two, but not by much.

In the 1860 Census:
Letitia, daughter of Charles/Amanda, is seven years old.
Letitia, daughter of Jesse/Martha is six years old.

In the 1870 Census:
Letitia, daughter of Charles/Amanda is seventeen years old.
Letitia, daughter of Jesse/Martha is sixteen years old.

In the 1880 Census:
Letitia, wife of Robert S. Martin, is twenty-eight years old.
Letitia, wife of James W. Archer, is twenty-seven years old.

Note: Henry Martin Walker and Jesse Bacon are the executors and brother-in-laws. (Jesse Bacon mentioned in this indenture in not the Jesse Bacon that is the father of Letitia (Bacon) Archer. Letitia is a niece of Henry and Jesse, she being the youngest daughter of Charles Bacon deceased who is a brother to Jesse Bacon and brother-in-law to Henry M Walker. Thomas Bacon died 1871 and Charles Bacon died in 1861. W.E. Mathes was a hotel clerk in 1870's and in 1880 he was clerk of county court. Archibald R. Piper was born in Virginia and had lived in Tennessee most of the 1800's. He was a farmer.

If all this is correct, Letita, wife of Robert S. Martin is the daughter of Charles/Amanda Bacon
and Letitia, wife of James W. Archer is the daughter of Jesse/Martha Bacon.
