HANOVER Alta M. Gobrecht, 78, of 224 Diller Road, died Thursday afternoon at her home. She was the wife of David R. Gobrecht, who died Nov. 4, 1975.
The service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hanover. Viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gobrecht was born July 31, 1915 in Hanover. She was the daughter of the late William H. and Gertrude M. (McMaster) Snyder.
She was retired from the Hanover Shoe Co. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and the local American Association of Retired Persons and enjoyed knitting and doing puzzles in her spare time.
Mrs. Gobrecht is survived by two brothers, Edward M. Snyder of Hanover, and William H. Snyder Jr. of McSherrystown; two sisters, Dorothy E. Shoemaker of Hanover, and Emmaline E. Schievert of York; and several nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Bruce P. Bouchard.
