KINGSPORT - Anthony L. Kitzmiller, 65, Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jay & Cassie Kitzmiller; two grandsons, Jayce and Ethan Kitzmiller; and a brother.
A Military Graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Boone Dam Post #4933. All those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery at 11:20 A.M. on Thursday.

I guess we are a little too old to become "pen pals", but I would like to correspond with you.
My regrets are many concerning my father. He and my mother lived with me from 1955 until his death in April, 1958. My mother is very ill, but still lives with me.
Pop would have enjoyed so much hearing from you. The fact that all the members of Pops' mother's generation are now gone came as quite a shock.
I am his only living child, 38 years old, and have one son (Pop's only grandchild), Jack, 17 years old - a senior at El Monte High School, of whom I'm very proud. As you probably know, my Pop's other daughter died at birth.
Our household consists of my mother, my son and myself. Jack has had several scholarship offers to various colleges, but so far hasn't committed himself. He is very active in sports and I am enclosing his picture taken last year. I'm sorry I can't send one of my own, but I'm not photogenic. My middle name is Mae - perhaps you could have seen a resemblance to Aunt Mae. Pop thought so.
I don't know if you do any traveling, but if you should ever happen to travel as far as El Monte, we would be honored if you could spend a few days with us or even drop in for a short while.
Believe me, it was a great surprise and pleasure to receive your letter. Mom remembered Pop talking about you, but frankly the only ones I remember were his brothers and sisters, Nell Shuler and Alex Patterson.
The best of health and happiness for you in the coming new year. Mom also sends her best regards.
By the way - are we second cousins?

Services for Sylvia J. Blackmur, 59, of Chula Vista, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in First Baptist Church in Chula Vista. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Park. Humphrey Mortuary is in charge. She died Sunday in a hospital.
Mrs. Blackmur was born in Alameda and lived in the county 36 years. She had been a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; four sons, Kenny Schuh of El Cajon, George Schuh of Manteca, Calif., John Schuh of San Diego and Mike Schuh of Chula Vista; two daughters, Karen Kenrick of Sun City and Kathy Tosch of Chula Vista; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
