Elaine served her country in WWII in the W.A.C. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Loy D. Stump. Elaine is survived by her brother: Barney Canion, Jr. and wife Ethel; daughters: Diane Browning and husband Larry, Melanie Wadley and husband Rick; Son: Barney Stump and wife Janice, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 6:00 - 800 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Earthman Hunter's Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Freeway. Funeral services for George W. Blizzard, 69, of 2091 Lead Avenue, a retired Fresno barber, will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 AM in the Tinkler Mission Chapel.
Blizzard died yesterday in a local rest home.
He retired in 1943 after suffering a stroke. From 1910, when he came to Fresno, Blizzard owned and operated his own barber shops continuously with time out for only one two-week vacation, until he became ill.
He was born in Nebraska. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Rev. Emery W. Snyder of the Eastside Christian Church will officiate at the funeral. Interment will be at Belmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Charles Francis Hamner of near Kahoka, Missouri, died at 10:35 p.m. o'clock Sunday night, December 18 at Graham hospital where he had been a patient since last August.
He was married to Mary Ann Hanslow on February 22, 1899, who preceded him in death on September 11, 1942.
Charles Francis Hamner, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Sullivan Hamner, was born in Clark County, Missouri on July 4, 1875 and had been a resident of that county all of his life. He was baptized in the Methodist faith.
Surviving are six children, three sons, Clarence F. of Keokuk Henry E. of Kahoka, Oval B. of Luray; and three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Heinze of Kahoka, Mrs. Myrtle Kutcher ofKahoka, and Mrs. Gladys Young of Farmington. Also 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. M. Monroe in charge of the service.
Music was by Niss Nina Dorsey, Mrs. Ethel Rigg, Mrs. Helen Ragan.
Pallbearers were Richard Hamner, Delbert Hamner, Howard Heinze, Junior Kutcher, Donald Kutcher and Leroy Lillard.
Interment in Kahoka cemetery.
