John B. Wright
JOHNSON CITY -- John B. Wright, 82, Gray Station Community, died Friday afternoon at Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in that community, he was the son of the late Emanuel and Nancy Bowman Wright, early settlers of this section.
He was a member of Flowerville Baptist Church and an employee of Postal Service for 30 years.
He is survived by his widow, Della Wright; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Anderson of Kingsport, Mrs. Olivene Hale of Johnson City, and Mrs. E. B. Fulkerson of Route 4, Jonesboro; one sister, Miss Mary Wright of Blountville; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Flowerville Baptist Church, with Dr. William Rigell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body will return to the residence late Saturday afternoon where it will remain until one hour before service. The Morris Funeral Home is in charge.
Note: I cannot find any reference to a Flowerville Baptist Church. John Nelson Wright is buried in the Boone's Creek Baptist Church, Washington County, Tennessee. E. B. Fulkerson was Edmond B. Fulkerson, husband of John Nelson Wright's step-daughter, Patton Lamont "Patsy" (Hall) Fulkerson.

Funeral Services Sunday For Worker Victim Of Burns
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. (EDST) for Emanuel martin Wright, 47, of Johnson City, who died Friday at 2:15 p.m. at Holston Valley Community Hospital of burns suffered in an accident at the Tennessee Eastman Corporation May 26.
The Rev. W. R. Rigell will officiate at the services, to be conducted at Boones Creek Baptist church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery and Sinking Creek Lodge No. 575, F. & A. M., of which he was also a member, will have charge of Masonic rites at the grave.
Pallbearers will be A. W. Chadwell, M. D. Fulkerson, C. P. Parker, H. E. Campbell, L. F. Staples, A. L. Tallman, E. S. Lane, and Claude Overbay.
Mr. Wright had been an employe of the Tennessee Eastman power department for the past 13 years and had worked in Johnson City before that time.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ann Murray Wright, one daughter, Carrie, and one son, Emanuel Martin Wright, Jr., all of Johnson City; his father, J. N. Wright of Jonesboro, rural route; two sisters, Mrs. Olivene Hale of Johnson City, and Mrs. Bob Anderson of Kingsport. Emanuel and Anne had two children.

Mrs. Hendrix was a Yancey County, N.C. native and had lived in Washington County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Flora Evans Murray.
Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was a retired registered nurse and worked at the former Jones Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital and Appalachian Christian Village.
Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her first husband, Emanuel martin Wright, in 1946, her second husband, George A. Hendrix, in 1977, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Martin Wright, Kingsport; one daughter, Carrie Wright Durham, Johnson City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four nephews; and one niece.
