Sandra Grace Erwin Dick, 44, of Charlottesville died on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident on Rt. 250 W.

Born Feb. 24, 1960, in Erwin, Tenn., she was the daughter of Martha Fain Erwin of Kingsport, Tenn., and the late Joseph Ralph Erwin, Jr.

Sandra was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a strong advocate of her son, Josh, Cub Scout activities. She was a faithful and active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Women's Leadership Council and brightened the lives of others through floral arrangements and preparation of church meals. Also a member of the Blue Ridge Presbytery she had studied at the Center for Christian Study and Piedmont Community College.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Dick; four sons, Joshua, Jeremy, Jason, and Justin, all of Charlottesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Greg Steele of San Fernandina Beach, Fla., Mary and Cliff Hughes of Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Becky Erwin of Johnson City, Tenn.; nieces, Mary Ashley Hughes and Sarah Erwin; and nephew, Michael Erwin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, in the Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. S. Michael Preg and the Rev. Tony Giles officiating.

The family will receive friends at 7 tonight, May 28, 2004, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home.

It is requested that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, PO Box 5102, Charlottesville, VA 22905 with designation to the Dick Family Memorial Fund.
