DRIVER HELD
William Hendricks, 17, of route 2, was arrested last night after his car struck Marilyn DeFrane, 7, daughter of Mrs. Robert Wolf., 652 Gentry St., on a drive in TPA park. Hendricks was charged with having faulty auto brakes. The girl, taken to the hospital, was thought seriously injured, with a possible skull fracture.

CONDITION CRITICAL
Marilyn DeFrane, seven-year-old daughter of Mrs. Robert Wolf of 652 North Gentry street, remained in critical condition at the Clinton county hospital suffering with a probably skull fracture received Tuesday night in T.P.A. park. The automobile which struck the child was driven by Bill Hendricks, route 2, who was later arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with faulty brakes. His case is set for Monday, September 14, in juvenile court.

Frankfort Child Dies of Injuries
FRANKFORT, Sept. 7. -- Marilyn DeFrane, six year old daughter of Mrs. Robert Wolfe, 652 North Gentry street, died at Clinton county hospital at midnight last night of head injuries received five days ago in the city park when the child was struck by an automobile driven by Billy Hendricks. The parents and a brother, Carl DeFrane, survive; also an aunt, Mrs. Naomi Massy of Lafayette.
The body was taken to the Goodwin funeral home and friends may call at the Wolfe family home after 2 Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services at the family home Wednesday morning at 10:30, Rev. J. A. Farr officiating. Burial in Bunnell Cemetery.
