JACKSON FUNERAL HELD
Funeral services for Columbus A. Jackson, 63 years old, farmer of Clark County, were conducted Friday at Carwood Christian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday at his home in Carwood. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Jackson; two sons, Claud and Otto F., the latter of new Albany; three daughters, Mrs. William Emery of Scottsburg, Mrs. Zola Beyl of Sellersburg and Miss Bessie Jackson of New Albany; a brother, Casper B. of New Albany; his mother, Mrs. Marileau Jackson Rauth of New Albany, and fourteen grandchildren. He was a member of that church.

Otto Jackson, 48, New Albany garage and automobile sales agency operator for many years before illness forced his retirement, died at 9:20 o'clock Tuesday morning at his residence, 1516 Shelby Place. He had been ill about eight months.
He was a member of DePauw Lodge of Masons; Hope Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and of the Central Christian Church.
Survivors include the widow Mrs. Jane Jackson; two daughters Miss LeVern Jackson and Miss Millicent Jackson, and a son, Harold Jackson, all of New Albany; his mother, Mrs. Laura Jackson, Sellersburg; a brother, Claude Jackson, Borden; three sisters Mrs. Bessie Anderson, of New Albany; Mrs. Zola Brockelhurst, Sellersburg, and Mrs. Ellan Emery, Scottsburg, and one grandson.

Funeral services for Katherine L. "Kathy" Broady Elder, 90, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Borden. She died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Autumn Woods Health Campus.
She was retired from the old I.C.I. America and was a member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Roy Broady, of Conway, Ark.; daughters, Janet Swindler and her husband, Jim, of Louisville, and Judy Hall, of Clarksville; a sister, Pauline Sullivan, of Clarksville; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Broady, her second husband, Rev. Norman Elder, brother, Charles Emery, and sisters, Thelma Emery and Jane Woodruff.

CLARKSVILLE - Woodruff, Margaret "Jane," 80, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, a donor and supporter of Falls of the Ohio and a past active supporter of the Indiana Special Olympics. She was a retired bus driver for Greater Clark Community Schools.
She is survived by her sons, Paul R. Jr., Wayne, Robert, and Thomas Woodruff; and daughter Debbie Jane Woodruff; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Sullivan and Katherine Elder; and many nieces and nephews.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband Paul Woodruff Sr.; sister, Thelma Emery; and brother, Charles Emery.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
