First Steamer With China Matting.
Messrs. John W. Lyon & Co., of Baltimore, have chartered the British steamer Athol, Captain Kent, to load a cargo of matting at Hongkong, China, for Baltimore. She will be the first steamer ever taken to load matting in that country from this port. The Athol was in the port of Hiogo on November 7, so that she will be prompt to load.
The charter of the steamer was made necessary by the failure of the ship Alacrita to turn up at Hongkong to load the cargo, and she is so long overdue that fears are entertained for her safety. The Alacrita sailed from Delagos Bay, southeast coast of Africa, on August 4 for Hongkong and is fully two months overdue.
The Alacrita is well known here, having been sold by Norwegian owners while in this port to the Standard Oil Company. She brought a cargo of chrome ore from New Caledonia.

WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT - Sun (Baltimore, MD); Friday, November 19, 1915; Volume: CLVIII, issue: 3; Page: 14; (GenealogyBank.com):
MRS. ELEANOR ZELL WED
Bride of John W. Lyon of Baltimore - Elopement Indicated.
Mrs. Eleanor Roberts Zell, formerly wife of A. Stanley Zell, president of the Zell Motor Company, of this city, was married in Washington yesterday morning to John W. Lyon, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Lyon, of Baltimore.
Just where the wedding ceremony was performed could not be ascertained yesterday, but the Washington records show that the Rev. Paul Sperry, who recently moved to the capital, officiated.
The SUN received last evening the following notice of the wedding:
"Mrs. Eleanor R. Zell and Mr. John W. Lyon went to Washington and were married yesterday in the presence of her son, Mr. Sidney S. Zell, and a few friends. The wedding party had luncheon at the new Willard, after which Mr. and Mrs. Lyon left for a trip North.
"The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Rosamond Roberts and the late William L. Roberts. Mr. Lyon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Lyon.
"On their return they will reside at 11 East Chase street."
That the marriage was in the nature of an elopement was indicated by the fact that no one at the Algonquin Apartments, 11 East Chase street, seemed to know last night that it had taken place.
Mrs. Zell obtained a divorce from her husband in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City on August 4, 1911. In her bill, filed two months before, Mrs. Zell alleged that her husband abandoned her without reasonable cause.
