Simon Gerald Johnson, Jr., 90, of Seminary (formerly of Laurel), died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Morris will officiate.
Mr. Johnson was the owner of Johnson Heating and Air prior to his retirement and he was a member of First Assembly of God in Ellisville.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Johnson, and sister, Frances Worley.
Pallbearers will be Doug Bush, Paul Sheffield, Zachary Johnson, Jason Moore, Samuel Bush and Jason Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren.

Dorothy Sue Pennington Putnam Latture, age 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, January 13, 2008, at her home at Desert Villa in Kennewick, Washington.
Dorothy was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama, to Alonzo Jefferson Pennington and Florence Dill Pennington. She was raised in the Church of Christ.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Paulette (Roy) Holley, Kennewick, WA, Barbara (Gary) Orr, Kennewick, WA, and Debra (Mel) Homer, Hermiston, OR, and sons Donald Putnam, Walla Walla, WA, Steven (Sandy) Putnam, Pasco, WA, and Richard Putnam, Kennewick, WA.
Mother proudly boasted of 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one more expected soon.
She also is survived by one brother, James Herbert (Bert) Pennington, Texas, and a special sister-in-law, Mary Pennington of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.
Mother was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Jefferson Pennington and Florence Dill Pennington and her eight siblings, Treva Pennington Yocum, Fort Worth, TX, Fletcher Pennington, Dimple Pennington Allen, Birmingham, AL, Hazel Pennington Tedford, Columbus, MS, Herman Pennington, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mary Lou Pennington Poole, Hamilton, MS, Thomas Pennington, Columbus, MS, and Kathleen Pennington Chism, Columbus, MS.
She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Putnam and her second husband, Lawrence Latture. Mom also had a special bond with her beloved little Chihuahua 'Short Stuff' who was a faithful friend.
Mom worked for various employers including Charlie Cox Farms, DSHS, and others but she excelled most as our Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
Mom liked to spend time with her family and when she wasn't with us, she worried about us. She enjoyed sewing, canning and embroidering special gifts for family and friends. She was our friend, our hero. She raised six children mostly on her own and we were ALL so lucky to have had her in our lives.
