Cecil F. Lane, 77, 1209 East Fairview Ave., died Sunday in Northside Hospital.
He was a native of Piney Flats, but had lived in Johnson City since 1934. Mr. Lane was a son of the late Patton and Nora Boring Lane.
He was a retired employee of Magnavox Corp., and more recently a part-time security guard.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his wife Mary Pearl Lane, in 1984.
He Was a Christian.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Lane, Johnson City, and Billy Joe Lane, Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Virginia Bennetta, Pennsylvania, Martha Oliver, Bristol, and Flora Rowe, Banner Elk, N.C.; three grandchildren,; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
