PEORIA, IL - Carl Keefauver, 65, of Peoria passed away at 8:46 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Dec. 11, 1943, in Kingsport, Tenn., to Carl R. and Chassie (Hickam) Keefauver. He married Jo Ann Look on April 14, 1972, in Columbus, Ga. She survives.
Also surviving are several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Carl first worked for many different movie theaters throughout the Midwest. It was a career he loved.
He last worked at Kroger as a cashier after 15 years of service.
He was a member of the UFCW Local 536 in Peoria.
Carl was an avid bowler. He enjoyed music. He was a part of a quartet in Kingsport, Tenn.
He was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church and its choir, and he loved to transfer music at his home recording studio. He last attended Bradley Epworth Church in Peoria.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport, Tenn.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
