Mrs. J. S. Heazeltine
Last Friday morning about six o'clock Mrs. J. S. Heazeltine suffered a stroke of apoplexy from which she died at 10:30 o'clock. Elva Ann Charles was born October 30, 1850, near Salem, Indiana. She was married to J. S. Heazeltine in Paris, Illinois, January 23, 1873. To this union four children were born: Roswell and Frank of Olathe, Mrs. C. L. Shipley of Libertyville, Indiana and Mrs. Alexander Gammell of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. All of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Gammill. The funeral services were held at the residence at three o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Buchanan officiating after which the remains were taken to Paris, Illinois, for interment. Mrs. Hazeltine united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church early in life, and she was an everyday Christian. As such a life was a blessing and benefaction to all within the sphere of its influence so is the death of such a one an irreparable loss to the home circle made desolate by her departure.

The condition of Miss Nettie Charles of 111 Williams St. is reported to be unchanged. Miss Charles is in Waxahachie Sanitarium for treatment after neighbors found her lying unconscious in her home early Tuesday afternoon.
Miss Charles in employed in the alteration department at Rose's Store and has been an employee in the store for 30 years. Her plight was discovered when her employer called the neighbors after Miss Charles failed to report for work Tuesday.

Miss Nettie Elizabeth Charles, a lifetime resident of Waxahachie, died at 4:30 a.m. today in an Irving hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Boze-Mitchel Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert E. Young pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in a local cemetery.
Miss Charles, who lived at 111 Williams Street, was born on Dec. 29, 1879, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Charles of Waxahachie. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. May Lafayette of California, nine nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. W. T. Charles of Dallas.
