He graduated from Alta High School in 1985; attended Utah State University 1986-87; while serving in the Navy attended Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida, and received his qualifications from the Nuclear Power Training Facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He loved being in the outdoors and serving in the Navy.
Survived by his parents of Sandy; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Wendy Overbay, Midvale; paternal grandmother, Madeline Overbay, Gray Tenn.; maternal grandparents, Bill and Lucy Veach, Johnson City, Tenn; aunts and uncles, Carolyn V. and Bill Duncan, Johnson City, Tenn.; Leon and Pam Overbay, Donnie Overbay, all of Gray Tenn.; Bill and Sue Veach, Friendswood, Texas; seven first cousins in Tennessee and Texas.
