About a week before his death he was taken with a deep cold which developed into pneumonia and all that his loved ones and skilled physicians could do was of no avail. Through his short suffering he was patient and submissive and almost from the first seemed to realize that he could not get well. He was a devoted husband and father, friend and neighbor, loyal and true, honest and upright, a christian man of deep conviction. What more can we say. His life's labors are over, gone to his Eternal reward. The influence of this good man will long live and bear fruit to honor his good name.l
