OBITUARY
GRAHAM -- Departed this life on the 13th of January, 1882, Mrs. Polly Ann Graham, in the 56 year of her age.
Her maiden name was Clark, and she was married to R. D. Graham on the 7th of October, 1856. For more than 26 years she was permitted to live with her husband and proved to be a helpmate in the fullest sence of the term. Her presence made their home cheerful, and happy as long as they were permitted to live togerher. Her four surviving children, together with the deeply bereaved husband, almost idolized her while she was permitted to stay with them. But alas! the separation has at last come. A stark shadow as a pall, fills the happy home with piteous sighs and bitter sorrows. But still they sorrow not as those who have no hope. She made a profession of faith in Christ some twelve or fifteen years ago, and was baptized by the writer into the fellowship of the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. For several years past she held her membership in Loutre Valley Church, where she was much respected and beloved. Her zeal and devotion to the cause of Christ made her one of the pillars of her church. But she has now passed over the river before us, and we can but say "Sister, thy ashes rest in peace until the resurrection of the just." M. T. B.

BASIC FACTS
Isaac J. Clark was born on 10 May 1840 in Montgomery Co., Missouri.3,4 He and Hattie Gilliland were married in 1886.4 He died on 3 February 1904, at age 63, in Cabool, Texas Co., Missouri.4 Isaac J. Clark had reference number 1413. He was enumerated on the census in Montgomery Co., Missouri (1850, 1860.) OBITUARY
Isaac J. Clark, the subject of this sketch, was born in Montgomery county, Missouri, May 10, 1840 and died in Cabool, Texas county, Missouri, February 3, 1904, age 63 years, 7 months and 23 days. He was twice married, the first time to Miss Mollie Moore, of Montgomery county, the second time to Hattie Gilliland, of Lynn county, Kansas, in 1886, who still lives. Mr. Clark early expressed a hope in Christ and became a member of the Missionary Baptist church, living all his life a devout christian. He realized that his life was drawing to a close and with true christian fortitude faced the end with that resignation and composure, born of a confidence in the faith that he had so long entertained. He often expressed his willingness to go, his only regret being to leave his wife and friends.
Mr. Clark was an honored and respected citizen, and a man honest and upright in every transaction, ready at all times to assist any worthy enterprise that looked to the elevation of the community or his fellowman. It has often been remarked that he had not an enemy in this community, not a man but was his friend. Kind an unassuming, he proved himself a man among men, and that character of man of which no community can have too many. All unite in the verdict that we have lost a useful citizen, an honest, earnest christian. May he rest in peace. A. Friend.

Mrs. John Dixon Dead.
The news of the death of Mrs. John Dixon in the hospital at St. Louis Monday morning was quite a shock to the relatives and many friends of the county.
Mrs. Dixon was taken to St. Louis one week ago when the second operation was performed for a tumor in the stomach, and while she seemed to stand it well and was getting along nicely, death came to her Monday morning.
The remains were brought up on the evening train and taken to the home west of town until Wednesday morning when the funeral services were held in the Methodist church, interment following in the City Cemetery. Rev. R. E. McQuie for many years her pastor conducting the services, assisted by Rev. Alex G. Carter of Montgomery City.
Helen Clark Dixon was born in Montgomery County, January 26th, 1845; died September 25th, 1911; aged 66 years and eight months. October 10th 1865, she was married to John J. Dixon. To this union two children, Mrs. Annie Mitchell of Mexico and Ausbin, of this place, were born. In November 1870, Mrs. Dixon united with the Liberty Baptist church, where she held her membership for over 25 years. Recently she and Mr. Dixon transferred to Montgomery, being a nearer church. Mrs. Dixon was of a family of eleven children, and now only one remains, Mrs Lina Davault of Bayard, Neb.
A very large crowd attended the funeral attesting the esteem and love held for Mrs. Dixon by our people. Truly a saintly mother in Israel has gone, leaving behind her many traits of character worthy of emulation. Peace to her ashes and may blessings come down upon Mr. Dixon, Anna and Ausbin in their bereavement.
